Na Zdraví!
A real point of pride on the list at Maxwell Alley and on the shelves at CoolVines is our robust selection of wines from Central and Eastern Europe. The landlocked terroirs of eastern Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia & Hungary produce utterly fascinating wines that are woefully underappreciated in the States. These places are also home to some of the most forward-thinking natural wine producers in the world. With all this in mind, we have asked our friend Phil Sareil of Jenny & Francois Selections to lead a tasting of some of Central Europe’s most celebrated winemakers. Phil is one of New York’s most-respected wine gurus, and over the past ten years has assembled a premier portfolio of producers, including Milan Nestarec, Strekov 1075, Koppitsch and many more. of The kitchen at Maxwell Alley will be serving some light bites to accompany these delicious wines.
